ANNA Debuts New Band "TROUBADOUR 77" at Sundance Film Festival
Opening for Brandi Carlile
Troubadour 77 (T77) and it’s various members were found performing a few times at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. T77 took the stage at the Montage Deer Valley in the Vista Lounge on Sunday, January 22 for a full band show and again on January 26, unplugged, opening for Brandi Carlile. The band featured all new music from their forthcoming album due out this summer. Lead singer, Anna Wilson comments, “We are so thrilled to be a part of the Montage Deer Valley Music Series and debut some of our brand new music. This will essentially be the first time we share this batch of new songs and perform them live, and I can’t think of a better setting.”
Additionally, founding members, Anna Wilson and Monty Powell were also found bringing their acoustic show “Song Tales” (www.songsessions.com) to OP Rockwell’s on Main Street for a private event for Acura. This Bluebird Cafe style singer-songwriter show is and intimate glance behind the curtain of the stories behind the hit songs the dynamic duo has penned. Collectively, Powell and Wilson have songs on over 70 million albums, have been nominated for a Golden Globe and Critics Choice award and have written the international theme song for Habitat For Humanity.
At a festival that hails great storytelling through movies, there were certainly even more great stories in song from these inspiring troubadours!
